Elevated Doors, Ltd. ("Elevated Doors", "we", "us") runs this website and the Elevated Doors booking apps for garage door repair, service and new doors in Medicine Hat and area, Alberta. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and service address.
• Booking and quote details: the door or repair you ask about, measurements, photos you upload, preferred times, and messages with us or your technician.
• Payment details: card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
• Location: with your permission, a technician's location while on the way to your job so you can track their arrival.
• Technical data: basic device and usage information, such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site working and secure.

Why we collect it

• To book, schedule, quote, perform and bill for your job.
• To send quotes, booking confirmations, reminders and receipts by email or text.
• To answer questions and handle warranty or complaint issues.
• To keep our service safe, prevent fraud and meet legal and tax obligations.

Your consent

By giving us your information you consent to us using it for these purposes. When you give us your email address for a quote or booking, you agree that Elevated Doors may email you about that request and about our services. You can withdraw consent to marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us. We will still send messages needed to complete a job you booked.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with:

• The independent technician assigned to your job.
• Our supplier, Open Distribution, when we order a door or parts for you.
• Service providers who run our business tools: payments (Stripe), text messages (Twilio), email delivery, maps and address lookup, hosting, and AI tools that help us understand requests and photos.
• Authorities or advisers when the law requires it or to protect our rights.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Alberta or Canada, including in the United States. Those providers must protect your information, and it may be accessible to authorities in those places under their laws.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including warranty, accounting and legal requirements, and then delete or anonymize it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as encrypted connections, access controls and limited staff access. No online system is perfectly secure, so please protect your own login details.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below. You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca) if you have a concern we have not resolved.

Cookies

We use cookies that keep you signed in and keep the site working. We do not use them to sell your data.
